Walk your yard and look for dead, cracked, or rubbing branches. If a tree needs significant pruning or work overhead, consult a qualified arborist. Keep mulch about two to three inches deep around root zones, leaving a clear ring at the trunk to protect the bark.

Sometimes a backyard doesn’t need to be torn down to the studs, it already has great bones and shady trees, it just needs our crew to bring the magic back out.

​Before we stepped in, this pathway was washing out into the dirt, the old plastic edging was popping up, and the stepping stones were uneven and easy to trip on. Plus, when the rain hits, bare dirt paths turn straight into mud tracks right back onto your patio.

​We reset the entire walkway with large, level flagstone pavers, filled in the path with clean crushed gravel, and hand-lined the curves with natural river rock borders. Top it off with fresh bark in the beds and clean out that old wooden box, and now stepping down from the patio to the swing feels like walking through a private park.

🚫🌱 1 Big Reason Why We DON'T Recommend W**d Fabric in Landscape Beds!

W**d fabric might seem like a great way to prevent w**ds, but it often creates more problems than it solves—especially when dealing with aggressive grasses like Bermuda grass!

Bermuda grass spreads underneath the fabric, creating a thick, tangled mat of roots and runners that becomes extremely difficult to remove.

🌿 Here's the problem: Effective herbicide treatment requires adequate contact with the plant's exposed foliage. When much of the grass is trapped beneath fabric, it's nearly impossible to spray properly, and pulling it out isn't much easier!

Eventually, Bermuda grass finds its way through the fabric anyway, leaving you with w**ds AND a tangled mess of fabric to remove!

✅ Our recommendation: Proper w**d removal, ongoing treatment, regular maintenance and a healthy layer of mulch or rock alone are generally much better long-term solutions.
