Building for the Next Generation We take great pride in our role in that process – and the result. Large or small, we start with confidence from the ground up.

It takes the carefully orchestrated effort of hundreds and thousands of people to bring together the vision, expertise and materials to build any structure. We’re a partner that brings six generations of proven expertise and experience to high profile, unique and complex construction projects.

Great work deserves a moment of appreciation! 👏

Our Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Midland expansion team recently gathered for a safety appreciation lunch to recognize the care and teamwork they bring to the job site every day.

Thank you to everyone on site for looking out for one another and keeping safety at the center of the work. We’re proud of this team and the work they’re doing in Midland!

A new chapter of growth for the community of Spearfish, South Dakota!

We’re looking back at the ribbon-cutting for Security First Bank’s new full-service branch and LIV Hospitality’s Starbucks. Our team was proud to bring this project to life and celebrate alongside both businesses and the Spearfish Area Chamber of Commerce.

Thank you to Security First Bank and Liv Hospitality for your trust and partnership, Upper Deck Architects for your design collaboration, and our trade partners and McGough team for the hard work that made it possible.

At the new Macalester College Residence Hall & Welcome Center, cross-laminated timber (CLT) is bringing the benefits of prefabrication to life. As a renewable material that reduces embodied carbon, we are using CLT to support the project’s sustainability goals.

The floor panels arrive ready for installation, supporting a faster, more efficient process while reducing waste and congestion on site. Once installed, the structural system also serves as the finished product, making the CLT both a functional and visible part of the building.

It is an exciting example of how thoughtful material choices and innovative construction methods can shape a more sustainable future.

4,320 cubic yards. 18 hours. One incredible team effort.

McGough’s self-perform team poured the concrete mat slab for the largest of Mayo Clinic’s Bold. Forward. Unbound. in Rochester two clinical buildings. The pour began at 5 p.m. on September 2 and was completed around 11 a.m. the next day!

The effort brought together our VDC, layout, project management, safety, and field teams, all working toward the same goal of completing the pour safely and efficiently.

Thank you to our trade partners Rochester Ready Mix, A-Star Concrete Pumping, Swanson & Youngdale, Inc., and Nucor for helping make this milestone possible. Congratulations to the entire Rochester team for a job well done

We would like to give a big thank-you to everyone who joined us last Thursday for our Boots, Bites & Business event! Our Dallas team happily welcomed clients, design partners, and trade partners to celebrate our new office space and the relationships that continue to shape our work across Texas.

Despite the rainy weather, our guests came ready to connect and enjoy a little Texas-style fun. We loved sharing our new space, reconnecting with familiar faces, and building new relationships as we continue to build something greater together!

Our team was proud to lace up once again for the American Heart Association’s Triangle Heart Walk!

Led by Kellie Ford, this year’s Executives with Heart Campaign Chair, Team McGough raised an incredible $33,496 to support the fight against heart disease and stroke. Thank you to every walker, donor, and supporter who helped make this achievement possible—and to our friends at S&ME for sharing the day with us!

As we celebrate this year’s success, Kellie is honored to pass the torch to Greg Pauly of Duke Health, who will serve as the 2027 Executives with Heart Campaign Chair.

We look forward to seeing the impact this community will continue to make under his leadership!

"The world is a better place with you in it. You matter. You are loved. You are enough."

These words showed up across McGough this month, and they’re too important to leave behind in September. Employees across our offices wore their su***de prevention shirts as a visible reminder that checking in, listening, and showing support can make a meaningful difference.

We remain committed to creating a workplace where people feel seen and valued..

Intern vs. employee. Random questions. One winner.
We put the McGough team to the test. Who came out on top?

We were so excited to fire up the grills for the 4th Annual Minnesota Building Trades “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” Ribfest. Our cooking team joined BBQ teams from across the area for a family-friendly event supporting Minnesota’s military veterans, current service members, and their families.

Led by our grill master, Assistant Superintendent Greg Route, the team brought home fourth place in chicken and finished ninth overall. Not bad for a day spent cooking for a great cause!

Thank you to the organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who came out to support this important mission. We were honored to join a community committed to giving back to those who have served, and we had a great time sharing some BBQ along the way.
