It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Dick Bernecker on Wednesday evening at the age of 93.
Dick co-founded Bernecker Brothers Roofing with his brother Bob in 1949 after losing his father at a very young age and stepping forward to help provide for his family. Through determination, hard work, and a commitment to doing things the right way, he helped build not only a roofing company, but a family legacy that has served generations.
Dick believed in showing up, standing behind your work, and treating people with respect. His leadership and values shaped Bernecker Brothers Roofing for more than seven decades and left a lasting impact on employees, customers, family, and the community.
We honor his life, his example, and the foundation he built. His legacy will continue through the people, family, and business he helped create.
Rest in peace, Dick. Thank you for the sacrifices you made and the example you set. We will carry your values forward and continue to make you proud.
