Then a contractor left them with only the foundation forms and no home. It will take a village to help this family. Recently, we have learned about this family in Rowlett,TX that was victim to a bad contractor. They lost their home in a tornado almost two years ago. The house remains unbuilt and the contractor received $80,000 and left them with just the forms for a home and no foundation. Here ar

Due to the financial situation the prior contractor left the homeowners in, they do not have enough to rebuild. In addition, their temporary living expenses have ended so now they are having to not only continue to pay for their mortgage but also their rental home. The community of Rowlett, as you see in the attached news story videos, are coming together and are doing what they can to help this family. They are also working on some fundraising. There are some insurance funds remaining. However, the mortgage will not release any more funds until the home is 50% complete. Even then, it still will not cover the cost to rebuild this house. We have a contractor who is now acting/volunteering as the General Contractor. They have the plans are are trying to help facilitate the rebuild of their home. If you are able to help or would like to see what you can do to help. Our dream goal is to be able to move this family back home by Christmas, which is just before the anniversary date of the tornado that hit that area 12/26/2015. We are currently working on our budget as we begin the process to help this family. We are needing the help of the community, friends, family and contractors/ builders that worked during the tornado damage.
