Capone Iron was proud to be a Dream Builders sponsor of the 2026 North Country Career Expo at the Lancaster Fairgrounds in Lancaster, NH this week!

More than 800 middle and high school students from NH, ME, and VT came out to explore career opportunities in the skilled trades. CIC had a great time meeting everyone, sharing what we do, and introducing the students to the many career paths available in steel fabrication.

A big thank you to Ray Berthiaume of UNH Cooperative Extension – Coös County, Michelle Gross of White Mountains Regional Middle High School, and their team for putting together such a fantastic event!

And special thanks to Airgas of Gorham, NH for donating men’s and women’s welding gear for our raffle. Congratulations to our winners! 👏

It was a great day connecting with the next generation of tradespeople and hopefully inspiring a few future members of the CIC team! 💪

We’re hopeful that the momentum generated during our Steel Strong Massachusetts Day of Action at the State House last Wednesday will help advance these important bills into law.

🏗️ STEEL STRONG DAY 💪 at the Massachusetts State House!

Capone Iron employees – along with other dedicated Steel Fabricators of New England members and supporters – sponsored a day of action to help build legislative support for two proposed Buy American bills (S-2167 and H-3411, Promoting Domestic Manufacturing).

S-2167 and H-3411 represent an opportunity to strengthen domestic manufacturing, support local jobs, and invest in the long-term future of the steel fabrication industry here in Massachusetts.

Bill sponsors State Senator Joan Lovely (Assistant Majority Leader & Chair of the Senate and Joint Committees on Rules) and Representative Jeff Roy (House Chair of the Manufacturing Caucus), were in attendance, along with Representative Kristin Kassner (2nd Essex District). We were also visited by Representative Antonio Cabral (Chairperson, Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight), State Senator Nick Collins (Senate Chair, Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight) and Representative Rich Haggerty (House Chair, Joint Committee on Housing). Representatives from AISC were also present, and instrumental to the day's success as well.
