Winter pruning is the ideal time to prune most Fall flowering shrubs as well as Rose of Sharon and Burning Bush plants. We routinely shape and control the size of these plants while they are dormant.

The backyard to this Ipswich family's home is always in the shade and fairly wet so the lawn was muddy most of the time. Artificial turf was installed so that the client can enjoy a green backyard.

Artistic Landscapes started our Fall clean-ups. During this time of year, we prune many of the summer flowering shrubs and broken branches, as we wait for the leaves to fall. We pruned some hydrangeas for a Newburyport family and have used many of the hydrangea blooms as flower arrangements. We were able to fill 4 vases and we have the thicker blooms drying. Once those hydrangea blooms dry then they will go in vases for a winter flower arrangement. Enjoy your flowers longer by bringing the cut flowers indoors.
