North Shore homes don't all look the same - and they shouldn't all have the same kitchen either.

A classic Newburyport colonial calls for something different than a modern Rowley build. That's the fun part. Your cabinets are where the personality starts.

Traditional or modern - which way do you lean?

Hardware trends move fast. Good taste doesn't.

If you want pulls that still look right in five years, keep the shapes clean and pick materials that age well. Unlacquered brass is a favorite, it picks up a warm patina over time. Brushed nickel is the easy, never-wrong choice.

Want a little personality? Use one bold piece as a statement instead of decking out the whole kitchen in it. The stuff that dates a kitchen fast is usually the loud patterns, colored finishes, and overly ornate shapes.

Keep it classic and you won't be redoing it in a few years. Need a second opinion on hardware? Our designers will walk you through it, concept to install.

That bathroom has been bothering you for years. Not enough drawers, no counter space, finishes that have seen better days.

A custom bathroom design fixes all of it - not just the look, but how the room actually works for you in the morning. A place for everything. Materials built for daily steam and splashes. A space you actually want to spend time in.

Our designers at the Rowley showroom will help you get there. Come see what's possible.

I can usually tell within a minute whether a cabinet was built to last. The catch is that most of it is hidden, the parts you can't see in a glossy showroom photo, and that's exactly where the cheap stuff cuts corners.

So before you buy cabinets from anyone, here's what I'd check first:
-Pull out a drawer and look at the box. Plywood holds up for decades. Particleboard swells the first time it meets water.
-Feel the hardware. Good hinges and glides cost more for a reason, and they're the first thing to fail on a bargain cabinet.
-Ask how the storage was planned. A real design fits your life, not a stack of stock boxes.
-Check where it's made. Our lines are American-made, which means steadier pricing and lead times we can actually put in writing.

A kitchen should be the room you're proudest of, not the project you warn your friends about. That's the whole reason people send their neighbors our way.

Come see and feel the difference in person at our Rowley showroom. Link in bio to book a visit.

That dated kitchen was costing them more than they realized.

North Andover transformation - waterfall island, custom cabinetry, and actual prep space. All without blowing the budget, because they kept the existing layout and put the money where it shows.

Same footprint. Completely different kitchen.

Mantra vs. Homecrest vs. Mid Continent… they’re all solid cabinet lines, but they’re not the same, and the “best” one depends on what you’re prioritizing.

Before you pick a door style, ask these 3 questions:
1) What’s your budget range? (and how long you plan to stay in the home)
2) What level of customization do you actually need? (sizes, storage, odd layouts)
3) What finish and durability expectations do you have? (kids, pets, heavy cooking, etc.)

We broke down the real differences between Mantra vs. Homecrest vs. Mid Continent in our newest blog post so you can choose with confidence and avoid expensive “should’ve done that differently” regrets later.

If you want the full breakdown, visit our website and head to the Blog section. It’s the newest post.

We could've gone with subway. We went with this instead.

Picket marble, floor to ceiling, behind the range. No two tiles look exactly the same, and the grey veins tie right into the quartz on the counters.

It's the first thing you notice when you walk in, and the last thing you remember.

Choosing cabinetry isn’t just about the color, it’s about the construction and the details you’ll notice every day.

In this project we used with:
- Alden door style with inset doors + drawers (everything sits inside the face frame)
- Furniture-style valances at the base for a more custom, finished look
- Kodiak stain over birch (birch stains beautifully and stays stable through seasonal humidity changes)

If you’re considering inset cabinets, come compare door styles and finishes in person at our Rowley, MA showroom. It makes the decision way easier.
