Another project wrapped up for a great customer! ⚡

This one started as an empty space and is quickly becoming a clean, functional workshop. We installed new electrical, surface-mounted conduit, lighting, receptacles, and a dedicated work area to give the customer a safe and reliable setup for years to come.

At Collins Electric, we take pride in doing things the right way—not the easy way. Clean work, attention to detail, and treating every job like it was our own.

Today, Collins Electric pauses to remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. Memorial Day is more than cookouts and a day off work — it’s about honoring sacrifice, courage, and love for others.

As a small family business, we are thankful for the freedoms we have every single day because of those who never made it home. We pray for the families carrying that loss today and ask God to comfort them and strengthen our nation.

Even though I’ve stepped into a full-time job, God has shown me that purpose doesn’t get put on hold—it just takes a new shape. Collins Electric is still out here, still serving, still putting in honest work alongside Newby Services.

Sometimes the path changes, but the calling doesn’t. I’m grateful for every opportunity God places in front of me—whether that’s on the job or through the business He allowed me to build. It’s all His, and I’m just trying to be a good steward of it.

⚡ Collins Electric Update ⚡

After a lot of prayer and reflection over the past several months, I wanted to share an update with everyone who has supported Collins Electric over the years.

I have accepted a Facilities Maintenance Manager position, and I will now be working Monday through Thursday. Because of this change, Collins Electric will be scaling back operations.

I will still be taking on select work for existing customers on Fridays as my schedule allows.

This decision was not made lightly. Collins Electric has been a big part of my life, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the customers, friends, and relationships that have come from it.

Over the last six months especially, I’ve spent a lot of time in prayer, and I truly believe God is placing me where I need to be in this season of life. I’m trusting His plan and thankful for the path He’s leading my family and me down.

Thank you all for the support, trust, and business through the years. It truly means more than you know.

⚡️🎉 4 YEARS OF COLLINS ELECTRIC 🎉⚡️

Four years ago I didn’t walk away from my job…

I went home after work…
And started building something of my own.

Early mornings before the sun came up.
Late nights after long shifts.
Weekends that weren’t really weekends.
Answering calls between jobs.
Doing paperwork at the kitchen table.

There were times I was exhausted.
Times I wondered if I was crazy for trying to build something on top of an already full plate.

But God kept opening doors.

Katie stood beside me through every late night estimate, every stress-filled season, every “we’ll figure it out.” She handled paperwork, schedules, encouragement, and prayer when I was running on fumes. She’s been the steady foundation behind this business.

And Jordyn has grown up watching it happen in real time.
Riding in the truck.
Stopping at supply houses.
Seeing what work ethic and faith look like.

She’s watched Collins Electric go from side jobs…
To steady growth…
To something we’re truly proud of.

This wasn’t built overnight.
It was built after hours.
On sacrifice.
On family.
On faith.

Through slow seasons.
Through busy seasons.
Through stress.
Through blessing.

God has been faithful through it all.

To every customer who trusted us — thank you.
To every referral, every share, every call — you helped build this.

4 years ago it was just a step of faith after work.

Today it’s a growing family business.
