Been mighty busy lately , working 6 to 7 days a week. Got home earlier than usual today so decided to work on this future beauty. I saved it from disposal and picked it from the curb. Apparently the owner had a pet that lacked chew toys…. I’ll be completely transforming for use in my personal living room over the next eeek week or so.

Working at a house in Detroit today. The owner had installed a new entry door and asked me to use the gallon of oil based paint they had left for me. It had never been opened and I didn’t recognize the brand. The price tag on the lid was $18.98…
I knew it was old, because oil based gallons run over $100 per, now. It stirred up fine, and went on like a mirror !

Sometimes you’ve got to paint something for yourself. Many thanks to my friend Eric from Elite Furniture refinishing. 3 years ago I picked an MCM bed frame that had been kicked to the curb. It had one damaged leg on the foot board that he repaired flawlessly. Of course he did. He is a certified furniture restorationist with the Smithsonian Institution. Today I was finally able to find the time to paint it. I’ll be getting my mattress off the floor this week and enjoying a real bed again in days.
