Simple check valve replacement for today’s video.

Telltale sign that check valves need to be replaced are:

* spa that sits higher than the pool begins to drain whenever the equipment is turned off.

* Pumps that sit higher than equipment take too long to prime, or don’t prime at all.

These past 60 days with no rain has really been causing issues with leaks and structural issues on a lot of customers pools lately, so here are a few repairs we knocked out within the past week!

Suction manifold cracked at the coupling right in the ground, so we got the manifold rebuilt 💪

Skimmer cracked right at the 90° elbow, so we got it replaced 🧱

And the ground pulled away from a customers sheer descent so bad, it actually snapped the 90° elbow, and pulled the pipe away about an inch and a half 🥴

One important tip: buy soaker hoses and soak the area around your pool, like you would the foundation of your home. It definitely helps mitigate any plumbing issues.

This pool was well on its way to being completely taken over by algae when we arrived. Green buildup had started spreading throughout the pool, spa, steps, and walls, but we were able to get it turned around 💎

We came in, gave the pool a thorough cleaning, brushed and removed the algae, treated the water, balanced the chemicals, and made sure we completely killed off the algae instead of just making the water look better.

The end result? Clean, clear, blue water and a pool that’s ready to be enjoyed again 🤝

A green pool can get out of hand quickly, especially in the Texas heat. If your pool is starting to turn green, getting cloudy, or just isn’t looking the way it should, don’t wait until it becomes a bigger problem, because algae doesn’t just look bad, it can actually make you sick under certain situations 😷

An accident waiting to happen…or so it was 😮‍💨

Customer called, letting us know that they had a loose stone on the spa, and were afraid one of their kids was going to step too close to the edge and fall in, along with the stone.

The team got out there the next day to re-set the stone on the spa, ensuring such a thing wouldn’t happen 🤝
