If Jessica was a plant, she’d be a Bougainvillea 🌺

Why? Bougainvilleas are hardy, colorful, and known for their vibrant blooms and thorny branches.

Jessica is outgoing, full of energy, and always brings a little extra brightness wherever she goes. She can have a little sting to her when things get stubborn 😂, but that’s all part of the personality.

Bright, bold, resilient, and hard to miss — just like a Bougainvillea.

The 2026 Florida Native Plant Society Photo Contest is NOW OPEN!

Share your photos to celebrate Florida’s incredible native flora and all the ways they shape our wild and cultivated spaces.

Categories include:
-Native Plants in Their Natural Habitat
-Native Plant Gardens & Designed Landscapes
-Natural Landscapes & Ecosystems
-Wildlife and Plant Interactions
-Artistic Interpretations
-Advocacy in Action
-Youth Photographers (17 and Under)

The submission deadline is September 15, 2026. Winners will be announced during Florida Native Plant Month in October, and will receive prizes and recognition.
