Drafter
i. Description
1. This role is part of the Design Department and provides support to the Project Manager, Production Planner, and Purchasing/Receiving/Inventory Department with Drawings and BOMs
ii. Responsibilities/Duties
1. Use 2D and 3D CAD software to create models and drawings.
2. Create and manage BOMs for equipment.
3. Create and manage CAD file storage inside of the Data Management System
4. Peer review models, drawings, and BOMs created and/or modified by other co-workers.
5. Create and maintain engineering records that contain information on standard design guidelines, protocols, part numbers, etc.
6. Ensure new and existing files adhere to the company standards.
7. And any other duties and/or responsibilities that are required or requested by management.
iii. Qualifications/Skills
1. Required:
a. Must be self-motivated and have an impeccable attention to detail.
b. Must have experience working with 2D and 3D CAD software
2. Recommended/Preferred:
a. Have experience in Autodesk products including AutoCAD, Inventor Professional and Vault
b. Have a working knowledge of the metal fabricating and manufacturing processes.
c. Have a basic understanding of the current machine processes related to machining, waterjet cutting, plasma-arc cutting, brake press, shearing, rolling, etc.
