JLP Services, Inc is a general commercial contractor in the heart of Sacramento. We are a multi-generational family business and value our friendly, close-knit culture which has been cultivated over the last 30 years. We are looking for a skilled and confident Accounting Assistant to help with day-to-day accounting, management of client and subcontractor relations, and support for our management. This position has the potential for future position advancement and wage increases.
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional, with a great attitude, able to undertake various office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. Must have a proven track record of successful office/accounting support and be able to provide one or multiple references. Candidate should be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and have the ability to follow directions and multitask in a time-efficient way.
Responsibilities
Communicate with clients and subcontractors promptly
Maintain accurate billing & invoicing records
Perform administrative support functions
Monitor the level of supplies and handle shortages
Perform receptionist duties when needed
Handle day-to-day accounting duties including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll assistance
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field of study
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop
Construction industry experience is a huge plus
1-3 years of experience working in accounting
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly detail-oriented
Ability to self-manage and be a team player
Salary
$25-30/hr. DOE
