Our Veteran Pipeline Construction crews are making great progress on a gas main replacement project in Oakland, CA, helping improve system reliability and safety for the community.

Since starting in April, crews have stayed focused on safety, quality, and communication while working in a busy residential area with significant traffic challenges. This project is already one week ahead of schedule, with production exceeding expectations at nearly 180' of main installed per day.

A big shoutout to the crew for their strong coordination with residents and the City of Oakland - Local Government, helping keep the project moving efficiently while minimizing impacts to the community. Great work!

Our Safety and Veteran Pipeline Construction teams had a great time this past weekend celebrating 50 Years of Safety with Underground Service Alert of Southern California (DigAlert)! 🎉

It was a fun day connecting with community members and industry partners while sharing the importance of damage prevention and safe excavation practices.

Our crews recently completed a major utility project in Cayucos, CA for SoCalGas, successfully installing 1,100' of 4" steel pipe along the west side of Cabrillo Highway near where Toro Creek flows into the ocean.

The project presented several unique challenges, including difficult sandy ground conditions and the need to carefully prevent any frac-outs into Toro Creek. Due to the environmentally sensitive location, the project was closely monitored throughout construction by a dedicated frac-out monitor, an environmentalist, an archaeologist and representatives from the Chumash Tribe.

Despite the complexities and high visibility of the job, the team completed the project safely and ahead of schedule. A special shoutout goes to subcontractor, J-C General Engineering, Inc. for their professionalism, and commitment to completing the bore successfully and on time.

Shoutout to one of our April ACE Crews of the Month!

Addison’s EXC crew is doing an outstanding job on a challenging project fo Portland General Electric involving contaminated soil, deep excavation, unstable sandy conditions, large pipe installations, and constant site activity.

Despite the complexity, the crew is staying on schedule and operating with professionalism, teamwork, and respect for the community and fellow contractors.

Hats off to the entire crew!

VPC is currently supporting critical natural gas infrastructure improvements for the City of Palo Alto through a large-scale gas main and service installation project.

The work includes nearly 26,000 feet of gas main installation and more than 500 service replacements and transfers, with completion scheduled for 2027.

We’re proud to bring safe, high-quality work to this important project and continue building strong partnerships along the way.
