This one belongs to Noah.

For his Eagle Scout service project, Noah Blanchard set out to solve a real need at St. Mary Parish in Sacramento: replacing aging, warped bookshelves with stronger shelving for the books used by children, while also creating better storage for the parish volunteers who use the office space.

But the project was about much more than building shelves. Noah was responsible for planning the work, organizing materials and logistics, leading his team, and making sure the finished product was both structurally sound and something the parish could be proud of.

Nyecon Inc. was proud to have a small part in helping Noah bring his vision to life. Watching a young person take an idea from research and planning through preparation and ex*****on is exactly the kind of work we’re proud to stand behind.

There is a moment in every construction project when the architect and developer stop listening to what the contractor says and begin watching how the contractor behaves.

The schedule slips by three days. A subcontractor misses coordination. Pricing comes back higher than expected. A field condition appears that nobody anticipated.

Some firms respond by manufacturing activity. More meetings. More calls. More explanations. Everyone becomes very busy while the project quietly loses altitude.

The experienced developers and architects we work with are not impressed by noise. They are impressed by control.

Strong projects are built long before construction is complete.

On Lag BaOmer, Nyecon Inc. and the Chabad Jewish Community Center of Folsom marked an early milestone in the journey toward the new center.

In partnership with the Folsom Fire Department, the existing building was used over several weeks as a real-world training environment for local fire personnel. For first responders, opportunities like this are rare and valuable. For a project team, they require trust, planning, communication, and a shared commitment to doing more with the site before the next phase begins.

That is why this moment mattered.

It showed what can happen when an owner, contractor, and public safety partners work with the same goal: move the project forward while creating value for the community along the way.

Some projects begin serving the community long before the doors ever open.

This week, behind the scenes, the future home of the Chabad Jewish Community Center of Folsom became a live training site for the Folsom Fire Department before demolition and construction begin. While most people will one day see the finished building, moments like this are part of the foundation too — neighbors, first responders, community leaders, and local organizations coming together long before ribbon cuttings and grand openings.
