Had an hour to kill today between picking up my son from different activities, so we found ourselves in the river for a quick thirty minute cool down😂 (you have to remember I live in a small town, this is normal behavior hahah)

But we were not prepared at all!!
no swimsuits, no sunscreen, just vibes.

The kids had a blast and I loved getting outside and seeing the beauty God has created for us.

Sometimes all it really takes to chase away the negativity is getting off your phone, leaving the dishes in the sink, and going on a quick adventure!

I will say life is a lot more fun when you don’t do chores all day 😂🫶 but forreals this is your reminder not everyone has it all together! We’re doing the best we can!

You haven’t truly gardened in Arizona if you haven’t almost gotten heat stroke atleast once!

Some tips for staying cool during these summer heat waves in the garden.

Get out early, or wait until the evening!
Drink, drink, drink.
Wear a hat and sunscreen.
A cold towel wrapped around your neck works wonders!

And for your plants:
Provide shade with shade cloth
Mulch your plants to help hold in moisture
Try to water early in the morning and water deep.
Do not fertilize or prune during extreme temps
