Dear Valued Colleagues,
The beautiful home you are working on deserves to be meaningfully and harmoniously integrated into the site. On the East End of Long Island there are few who are truly equipped to embrace this fundamental challenge. The irony is that this is the “core principle” of Landscape Architecture.
Landscape Architecture is the application of various arts and sciences to ensure health, safety, utility and the beautification of the built environment for human use and enjoyment.
While we at Spatial Arts celebrate the architectural diversity of the East End, site planning is all too often left to surveyors who never even visit the site, and the concept of an “integrated garden” is treated as an afterthought. We can do better. As, the Japanese proverb wisely notes: “A house without a garden is not a home.”

At Spatial Arts, we embrace a comprehensive approach to design development. We practice restraint favoring minimalism in structure, planting, and furnishings to reduce visual clutter. Less is more. Elegance is calming. We elevate landscape design solutions to the level of fine art.
