All of our clients yachts are out of the water thank goodness.
With the NorEaster water gets pushed in but can’t go back out, that’s why successive high tide compounded effects set records.

We’re about to break ground on an exciting 11,000 sq. ft. custom home for a private client in the Hamptons.

As the Owner’s Representative, Mr InBetween has been involved from the earliest stages — helping guide the project from initial concept through architect and contractor selection, permitting, budgeting, bid analysis, value engineering and pre-construction planning.

Now, as construction begins, our role continues: representing the owner’s interests, coordinating the project team, scrutinizing costs and proposals, monitoring progress and helping ensure that what was designed and promised is what ultimately gets built.

Building a custom home of this scale involves hundreds of decisions, multiple contractors and vendors, and a significant financial investment.

Our job is simple:

Be the owner’s eyes, ears and advocate throughout the entire process.

Summer may be winding down, but for Hamptons homeowners, this is when the next list begins.

Mr InBetween is now scheduling Fall & Winter property and marine services, including:

• Seasonal home closing and winter preparation
• Pre-arrival and departure services
• Storm checks and property inspections
• Meeting and overseeing contractors while you’re away
• Repairs, maintenance and construction oversight
• Vehicle care and coordination
• Boat winterization, storage and relocation
• Yacht captain and marine services
• Private chefs, w**e & dining arrangements, staffing and security
• Special requests and personal errands

What makes Mr InBetween different is the experience behind it.

Jay Carey combines hands-on construction and owner’s-representative experience with professional yacht-captain credentials and years of working around high-end homes, boats and hospitality. He also brings extensive knowledge of w**e, food and entertaining — allowing MIB to handle far more than simply watching over a property.

For many of our clients, the advantage is simple:

One trusted point of contact for the house, the contractors, the cars and the boat.

No monthly commitment is necessary. Use us when you need us — whether that’s closing the house for the season, checking it after a nor’easter, overseeing a project while you’re away, or getting the boat south for winter.

For clients who want ongoing priority access, MIB Private Client Membership is also available.

About to break ground on an exciting new project—an 11,000 sq. ft. ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) home featuring my first-ever lazy river pool for one of our clients.

So, what does Mr InBetween do as an Owner’s Representative?

We take the stress out of the building process by serving as our client’s trusted advocate from start to finish. Because we take the time to understand each client’s vision, personality, and style, we know how to assemble the right team to make the project a success.

From helping to select the architect and general contractor, navigating permits, obtaining competitive bids from pre-qualified subcontractors, managing budgets, reviewing invoices, and overseeing construction, we make sure every detail is completed properly, on time, and on budget.

If you’re planning to build, renovate, or undertake a major property project, we’d love to help make the process smooth, transparent, and enjoyable.

Let’s talk about your next project.
