Did a quick seal close by in Plymouth the other day. Small duplexes like this have the benefit of easy prep, but can pose some interesting sealing challenges. The adiabatic walls are always a trouble spot - we fill in the baseplate with sprayfoam to help speed up the process a bit and let the sealant do the rest! 💪

We’re out in Northampton today doing a small ADU (871sqft). We got it down from 852cfm(6ach) down to 110cfm(1ach)! After sealing up some plumbing and foaming infiltrations to the attic and crawlspace we were at 350cfm. Quick blast with some AeroBarrier in the crawlspace took us down to our desired 1ach target. 🤙

We sealed this older gut renovation in Falmouth recently. Renos like this one can be tricky. We found quite a few large infiltration going to unconditioned spaces that needed some conventional air sealing prior to the seal. This project had a combination of different insulation types to combat the original balloon framing and other unique building assembly elements. 🎈
