Fun Fact Friday: The Messy History of Paint! 🎨🥚

Did you know that before 1866, house painters had to mix their own paint completely from scratch?

Instead of popping open a can, they used a mortar and pestle to grind up natural earth pigments and mixed them with some wild ingredients- including olive oil, milk, lime, and even egg yolks! 🍳

Thank goodness Sherwin-Williams came along and invented the very first "ready-to-use" paint in a resealable tin can.
