Not the usual yard post but today was a very successful day for Blade & Root! It was one of those days that makes us feel extra appreciative for our clients!

Sat and had some very good, wholesome conversation with our first clients of the day and they gave us cinnamon rolls and sourdough! We also received some very kind words from another new client and ended the day with our close friends who never fail to help support our business in every way they can! The amount of people who are so grateful for our services is so amazing. We appreciate each and every one of you that let us keep your yards looking nice! This is what keeps the business running in that 90° heat! We have the most loyal customers and y'all are the best! 💚 🌿 🍀

Lawn Tip Tuesday!🤩

While a bagged lawn looks clean in the moment, those clippings are actually very healthy for your grass! Here is why we recommend "mulching" (leaving the clippings) whenever possible:
​1. Free, Natural Fertilizer 🧪
​Grass clippings are about 80% water and contain essential nutrients like Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium. When they break down, they return those nutrients directly into the soil. It’s like giving your lawn a mini-fertilizer treatment every single time we mow!
​2. Moisture Retention 💧
​In our Louisiana heat, the soil can dry out fast. A thin layer of clippings acts as a tiny mulch bed, shading the soil and helping it hold onto moisture longer. This means a greener lawn even when things get dry.
​3. Less Waste, Better Soil 🌍
​Bagging clippings often ends up in a landfill. Keeping them in the yard improves the organic matter in your soil over time, making it fluffier and helping the roots grow deeper and stronger.
