Another week-long project in the books…

First, Big Oak spent a couple days cleaning and ripping out old plants and mulch.

Then, the fun began.

The latter half of the week involved spreading roughly four truckloads of rock, putting dozens of new plants in the ground, laying two pallets of sod and creating new bedlines around the entire home with two pallets of blocks.

This redesign became everything the homeowners had dreamed of, and it was a pleasure bringing this project to life!

Look for our yard sign at this beautiful project we completed in downtown St. Augustine – right across from the Flagler tennis courts!

Big Oak spent all week on this transformation.

We started out with two days of clean up and prep work. Day three consisted of putting tons new plants in the ground and laying a truckload of large river rock. On the last day, we finished putting down more rock, steppers and a pallet of zoysia.

Big ole sod, mulch and planting job!

This one took Big Oak a few days to clean up and rip out. After dozens of new plants, a couple truckloads of mulch and three pallets of sod, we got this yard looking brand new.

We can barely believe this transformation…

Big Oak spent three days completing this project.

As you can see in the first photo, the front beds were full of old plants and covered with w**ds. Take a look at the next few videos to see what the homeowners asked Big Oak to do — eliminate all the old plants and w**ds to replace with two truckloads of grey granite.

Simple, clean, neat and w**d free.

A beautiful Friday!

Big Oak made quick work of this project this morning. We came in and freshened up some beds in the homeowner’s backyard, put in some new aluminum edging, planted two huge crepe myrtles, and generally cleaned up.

On to the next job!

Backyard complete!

These homeowners had a beautiful sitting area installed out back, and it was left a mess all around it.

Big Oak came in, cleaned it up, laid two pallets of sod, and got the yard back to normal. Take a look at the last few photos to see what we were working with when we began!

Keep a lookout for our yard signs!

This redesign today involved a little bit of everything.

Big Oak swapped out old plants for new ones, including a variety of succulents and azaleas, coontie palms, muhly grass, and a robellini palm. We also placed out some stunning glacier boulders.

To fill in, Big Oak laid a truckload of Colorado River Jack in the front beds and another truckload of black mulch around the rest of the home. Check out all the videos and pictures from this beautiful job today!

Light work today!

The rain has been backing things up for us, but Big Oak was able to quickly redesign this front yard today!

Just some trimming, ripping out, new plantings and reshaping of the front bed really makes this home stand out in the neighborhood!

Big rip out and mulching days!

Big Oak spent all of yesterday clearing out these clients’ beds and cleaning up. Today was just a simple mulch job — no plants.

The new plantings is a task the family said they look forward to doing together, and we were more than happy to help get them a step closer to their dream yard!

Quick work today!

We came back to these repeat clients of ours to put some stone edging in for one of their front beds.

A month after completely redesigning their entire yard, everything still looks beautiful. The homeowners’ favorite part of their redesign is sitting on their porch watching butterflies continue to flock the flowers in their front beds!

Huge install job the last two days!

This repeat client wanted to get rid of old oak and river birch trees in her yard, which had been there for years.

Big Oak spent all of yesterday (and part of today) piecing the giant, old trees up then installed those new ones today along with the boulders you see in the photos.

The new trees include three weeping bottlebrush, a robellini palm, a sylvester palm, and of course the two large coquina boulders!

Out with the old and in with the new…

Nothing a couple pallets of sod and a truckload of fresh pine bark mulch can’t fix.

These homeowners wanted to get their old pea gravel out of their backyard and fix up the grass in their front. Those last several videos show what this project looked like before we started.
