What Is a FireFly Sod Harvester?

A FireFly sod harvester is an advanced machine that cuts, rolls, and stacks sod automatically — making the harvesting process faster, cleaner, and much easier than doing it by hand.

Instead of a crew digging and stacking sod manually, one operator can run the machine and do the work of several people.

Here’s how it works in 4 simple steps:

1️⃣ Cuts the Sod
A sharp blade cuts the grass along with a thin layer of soil beneath it.

2️⃣ Moves the Sod
The freshly cut sod travels up a conveyor belt inside the machine.

3️⃣ Stacks It Automatically
Robotic arms neatly stack the sod onto pallets.

4️⃣ Ready for Delivery
Once a pallet is full, the machine places it in the field so it can be loaded up and delivered to customers.

FireFly harvesters also use GPS and smart technology to keep rows straight and protect the grass from damage. It’s basically a rolling, automated sod factory designed to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
