Thank you ALL SO much for your support in me, and more importantly, seeing the value and importance of Art in all our lives. In our kids lives. Our communities lives. Art, like Music, can connect people in such unique ways, it’s so hard to put a dollar value on what it really is… an idea, a vision, a story, a song, into something you can see, touch or hear. From thin air.

Hey Family & Friends!

The outpouring of support and kind words since starting this competition just 2 days ago has been nothing short of amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Currently I'm still in 3rd place with 8 days, 8 hrs and counting left... what's a bit frustrating to me is, I have no clue how many votes I am away from first place?! I'm so impatient sometimes.

But what I do know is this; I am extremely lucky to have all your support, your encouragement and maybe a little luck to get to this point.

I've never entered an Art competition in my life - is that weird? Something I've felt since this began is that it doesn't feel quite like an 'Art competition', more like 'how's your social network?'

Ironically, as I complain, I also know that it's hard to get recognized otherwise. Unless you're just that good and you can walk into a gallery and hang your s**t. Ya, that's not me. I don't create Art for galleries or what have you. It's mostly for me and a bit for others. Every piece that I'm asked to create has a lot of ME in it. Actually, a lot of me.

Contless nights sit at my drafting table, long after the kids, dog and wife have gone to bed... just starting at my work. Obsessing over a line or shape. a mistake. Simple color choices taking 30 minutes...I'm THAT guy. What's it for then if I'm not pursuing Gallery recognition? ...Easy.

It's who I am.

Art is my constant in life. Always has been. Now I get to try and give a little bit more back to my kids because they deserve that.

My family is my greatest masterpiece.

P.S.; please continue to vote daily for me. It could go along way in the end.
