Here is a map of 10 ducks we tagged from Kentucky Lake and Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge Area. A couple of notes: 1) They all started together but now are as far 850 miles apart from each other. Ten ducks from one wintering area are breeding across 6 states/Canadian provinces. And 2) Although a small sample size, these ducks do tend to breed around the Great Lakes region and rarely make it over to the Prairie Potholes.
