We like bringing things back.
A lot of our favorite projects start with something somebody else looks at and says is too far gone, too complicated, or just not worth dealing with.
This commercial project started with an original floor that had multiple elevations and several inches of variation from one area to another. We had to work from that existing structure—using foam to build elevations, rebar and reinforcement, new steps, and a pumped concrete overlay—to turn it into one level, functional space.
We enjoy the engineering and problem-solving side of these jobs just as much as placing the concrete.
Taking something difficult, outdated, or nearly unusable and figuring out how to make it useful again—that’s what restoration means to us.

Another front entry cleaned up and brought back to life.
We removed the old paver stoop and existing sidewalk, reworked the grade, and replaced everything with new stamped concrete. Once it cured, we came back to seal it, reset the landscaping, regrade the edges, and leave the whole area finished up and ready to go.
We even added a little 12' concrete skate curb along the driveway for some fun. 🤘
A good concrete project isn’t just about the pour — it’s about how the whole property looks when we leave.

We’re filling out our late-summer and fall schedule and have room for a few more concrete projects.

Today, Riverside Concrete Inc. officially became active in the U.S. Federal System for Award Management (SAM).
I'm not exactly sure where this road leads. I'm excited. I'm nervous. And honestly, that's okay.
Over the years, we've built our business on taking on the jobs that others said couldn't be done. We've raised barns, restored failing pools, rebuilt structures that looked beyond saving, and found solutions to problems people called impossible.
That's always been who we are.
This registration isn't the finish line—it's simply another door opening.
Through Riverside Concrete Inc., DBA Legacy Waters Restoration, we're taking what we've learned over decades of solving difficult problems and applying it on a larger scale. Whether it's restoring waterways, improving public infrastructure, or tackling complex construction projects, our goal remains the same: leave things better than we found them.
Maybe this opportunity changes everything. Maybe it changes one project at a time. Either way, if there's one thing life has taught me, it's this:
A door that is never opened will always remain closed.

Another restoration project underway.
Years of salt and Minnesota winters finally caught up with this retaining wall. Once we opened it up, we found a little piece of history....some old Old Milwaukee cans tucked inside.
That's just the way the old-timers used to roll. 🍺 They built a lot of great work that's still standing today, and every once in a while they leave behind a little reminder of the days they were out getting it done.
Big or small, every restoration project has a story.
