Installer/Fabricator - Position Overview:
As an Installer at McArthur Welding, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful installation of our welding projects. This position requires not only technical expertise in welding and metal fabrication, but also strong leadership skills to oversee installations from conception to completion. You will be required to be in communication with clients and provide excellent customer service throughout the installation process. Fabrication may also be part of this position, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
⁃ Take charge of installation projects, overseeing the entire process from start to finish.
⁃ Be familiar with welding techniques to install gates, railings, stairways, curb plates, ramps, and other structures.
⁃ Ensure the accurate interpretation of blueprints and project specifications. Be able to accurately layout job to ensure proper placement and fitting.
⁃ Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
⁃ Provide excellent customer service, being the face of the company during installations.
⁃ Maintain open communication with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
⁃ Manage project schedules and coordinate installation activities with clients.
⁃ Maintain a high standard of workmanship and quality control in all installations.
⁃ Troubleshoot and problem-solve on-site issues efficiently.
⁃ Provide training and guidance to junior installers when necessary.
⁃ Adhere to safety protocols and regulations throughout the installation process.
⁃ Manage and maintain tools and equipment.
Requirements:
⁃ Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication.
⁃ Strong leadership skills with the ability to take charge of installation projects.
⁃ Knowledge in welding techniques and metalworking skills.
⁃ Reliable and punctual with a commitment to meeting project deadlines.
⁃ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
⁃ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
⁃ Customer service skills and the ability to represent the company professionally.
⁃ Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
⁃ Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to enforce them on-site.
⁃ Physical fitness and stamina for manual labor associated with welding installations.
⁃ Accurately laying out job, digging, standing and cementing projects in place.
