Rewarding projects are not always big and flashy. Sometimes simple projects made from materials already laying around can bring a lot of joy such as this Fly Fishing landing net. Lots of thin walnut and oak strips bent around a homemade jig...and LOTS of clamps. Anyone wanna go fishing? lol 😄

Once in awhile when a great project comes along I make sure I take the best completion photos I can. After all I don't have a website yet or a showroom. Great folks participate and we do our best to put the project in a natural setting. These are our pictures for the Art Deco Turn Table cabinet.

A project completed for a couple of true music affectionados. A beautiful wooden sculpture to hold their music collection. It's Art Deco design hearkens back to a time when Art was a priority in furniture design. I was truly lucky to be apart of this one of a kind project. This project was completely documented and every week the customer was sent photos, so there are alot of them!

Ever put a puzzle together? Imagine having to "make" every single piece and then put it together. (LOL) Most people start their puzzles at the edges. I had to do this one a little different. If you notice in the design it actually looks like a vinyl record and tone arm on the cabinet. Here you can see the top of the tone arm in this panel. This panel is called the front right skirt curve and it is coming along but before it is done we have to play a fabrication trick,...we have to BEND IT!

Imagine if you could design/build the ultimate cabinet to contain someone's hobby or passion, in this case a TRUE vinyl lover. In February a unique project came our way and I started negotiating a design for a turn table cabinet to house a renovated turn table, amplifier and vinyl record collection. The design had to reflect the Art Deco (1920-30's era) and meet several specifications. Construction has begun and you are invited to follow along as we break a few rules, make some of our own!

A quick visit back to an earlier customer and another great install to complete the second part of thier project. The horizontal bookshelf with lift up doors supported by gas pistons that hold the doors open when needed. A lower shelf to keep all needful things within easy reach.
