Frisco, Texas is getting a new park focused on bike recreation. We were fortunate to build nearly 2.5 miles of perimeter chip seal trail and 8 connecting hubs. We used a lot of rock on this one! Endless belly dumps of road base 😂 6 inch base with 244 lifted features, 50+ rock armorings, massive drainage crossings, 1 prefab feature, 2 coats of tar and chip. Tacos saved the world out there more than a few days. Krewe stepped up big due to some delays and had to take on the chipping in July. Huge thanks to American Ramp Company for another great project. Lot of work, but she sure is pretty! 😍 Cecil County, Maryland bicycle playground. 27 features. 1/4 inch chip slurry hardened with BMX glue over 60 tons of road base. 25 tons of rip rap. 4 pallets of flagstone. 2 pallets of boulders. 2 pallets of concrete. Lots of Milwaukee batteries and muscle! Huge thanks to American Ramp Company for another great project 🎉

Bike playground install for Cecil County, Maryland with American Ramp Company 🚲 Permitting said we could only disturb where the tread was going in. So we earth anchored and/or concreted in all the features first, excavated the organics out of the tread, shaped and compacted the subbase, added 4-6" of base rock, compacted/watered a lot, then finished with 2" of BMX glue/crusher fines slurry as the top coat. Here's some progress from the features install.

Got signage installed and did some serious drainage work after two - 200 year rain events within a week at Gans Creek Recreation Area in Columbia, Missouri. 2 inches of rain in half an hour and another storm that dropped 4 inches in an hour - can't fight God sometimes! Good news is that the drainage basins worked 🤣 Upgraded 18" culverts to 24". Beefed up the rock big time. No pictures but we did add erosion control matting and ryegrass to all the disturbed areas. Surprisingly, the rest of the trail areas looked great after a tough winter of freeze thaw and wild spring storms in CoMo. Thanks to COMO Trail Association & ForColumbia for the continued planting of well over 1000 trees around the park!! Needs lots of tires!!! Go ride, run, or hike it when trail conditions allow. Stay up to date with COMOTA 👊🏽

Some final work shots from our project at Idlewild Lake in Waterville, Kansas. 1 mile ADA accessible loop around the lake. 2.5 miles of singletrack. We moved approximately 750 tons of clay to bring things to grade. So much compacting! Singletrack turned out really nice. Been a long road since our initial concept in 2021, through design refinement, RTP grant process, local fundraising, and finally construction. Population 74. Thanks to everyone who had a hand in making it happen. Everyone deserves quality trails!
