With heavy rain and thunderstorms we get a lot of calls for tripping circuits. If your circuits are functioning on sunny days but trip when it rains your electrical system is most likely coming in contact with water.

☔️ Make sure all exterior outlets have covers or protected by an outlet box

☔️ Exterior outlets should be GFCI protected

☔️ Check extension cords for damage and make sure they are outdoor rated

☔️ Check exterior fixtures for damage or areas where water may be getting in

☔️ Check your electrical panel for signs of leaks or water damage

☔️ Check for overloaded circuits to prevent failure of components and reduced lifespan of equipment during power surges
