Chimney Repair in St. Paul 🧱

Another chimney repair completed in St. Paul!

This chimney had significant deterioration throughout the upper portion, with failing mortar joints, deteriorated brick, and a badly weathered crown. Our crew at Mohler Chimney Repair repaired approximately 8½ feet of the chimney, replacing the damaged masonry while carefully selecting brick to blend with the original chimney.

The project also included working around the existing flue systems and installing a new reinforced concrete crown to help protect the chimney from Minnesota weather for years to come.

One of the things we're most pleased with on this project is the brick match. When repairing an older chimney, we don't want the new work to look like an obvious patch. The goal is for the repair to blend naturally with the original masonry — and this one turned out beautifully.

Another beautiful chimney rebuild completed in Richfield! 🧱

This chimney needed a fair amount of work before the homeowner could move forward with having their roof replaced. Our crew tore down and rebuilt approximately 8½ feet of the chimney, carefully selecting the brick and mortar to blend with the original masonry below.

Matching an existing chimney—especially one this large and prominent on the home—is always an important part of the job, and we couldn’t be more pleased with how this one turned out. The transition between the original and new masonry came together beautifully.

A big credit to our crew on this one. From the tear-down to the final brickwork, they did an awesome job and left this homeowner with a solid, great-looking chimney that's ready for the new roof.

**A Beautiful Chimney Transformation in St. Paul**

We’re incredibly proud of how this project turned out.

This St. Paul chimney had deteriorated to the point where a repair simply wasn’t going to be enough. Our crew carefully dismantled the **entire chimney all the way to the ground** and completely rebuilt it from the ground up.

This was a major project that required extensive scaffolding, careful demolition, new masonry and flue liners, and a tremendous amount of detailed work from our crew. The chimney was finished with beautiful architectural brick detailing, stonework, a new reinforced concrete cap, and new chimney covers.

And the finished result really speaks for itself. **It turned out beautifully.** The new brickwork looks like it belongs with the home, while the detailing at the top gives the chimney a finished, traditional appearance that complements the character of the house.

We also have to give a lot of credit to our crew. This was a big job from top to bottom, and **they did an awesome job**. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride they put into their work really show in the finished chimney.

🏡 Restoring the Details That Protect Your Home

This beautiful St. Paul residence had a deteriorated soldier course along the base of the exterior. Years of moisture exposure had caused the bricks to crack and spall, making restoration the best long-term solution.

As part of this project—and in conjunction with rebuilding the home's chimney—our crew carefully removed the damaged soldier course and installed new Belden 503-505 Smooth brick, restoring both the appearance and integrity of the masonry.

The final phase of the exterior restoration will be completed by another contractor, who will apply a dashed stucco finish. The new stucco will extend down over the top edge of the brick, creating the proper transition and leaving the home with a clean, seamless finished appearance.
