Construction in progress!

Major tuckpointing and masonry repair is underway at the Historic Residence, as well as at the brick wall bordering Highway 61. Thanks to Collaborative Design Group and ACME Tuckpointing for their hard work on these projects.

The Residence Restoration project is made possible in part by the people of Minnesota through a grant funded by an appropriation to the Minnesota Historical Society from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

2014 Journeyman Upgrade Courses begin on March 12. This is an excellent opportunity for our Local #1 members to improve or enhance your masonry skills. Remember, our union membership helps pay for these classes thereby making this a win-win situation when you attend. Contact the training center at 651-487-5500 for class information.

Sure it's been extremely cold this winter, but that doesn't stop the restorative salvaging efforts at the Ford Plant in St. Paul. It's been a great partnership between Acme Tuckpointing & Ford Motor Company in working together towards the preservation of the irreplicable masonry and antique fixtures that are part of the remaining building structures. We are extremely proud of the care exercised by our employees in how they have carried out their work in such difficult conditions.

We completed masonry restoration work on Howe Elementary School this past summer. Howe was built in 1927 so numerous repairs were needed ranging from tuckpointing, brick replacement, stone patching, paint stripping and caulking.
