Good morning! Facebook has changed and added many features since this page was first created several years ago. This page was started by Lakes Genevieve property owners (not managed by board members) to give all owners, family, friends and fans, a place to share information about Lakes G. As we continue to grow, we realize the board may want to establish a more official page in the future to share rules/regulations/meeting info, etc.

To make sure we don't confuse anyone, we are going to move this page to an unofficial group so we can continue to have a place for everyone to communicate and interact, while making sure the board is able to create their own, more official page.

If you currently like/follow this page, you will automatically receive a Facebook invitation to join the "Unofficial Lakes Genevieve" group.

Over the years, many people have either posted or sent private messages asking about lots for sale, and a few have wanted to advertise lots for sale. Since we do not manage properties and just help share information, this private group setting will be a place for us to share property information, ask questions, share our concerns, and post our favorite pictures from all the fun we're having in our wonderful lake community!

The LGLOA annual meeting will be held Sunday, September 5th, at 1:00pm at the main pavilion (Beaver Lake). Maintenance fees will be collected by board members after the meeting.

Good evening lake friends! Apparently, there is a shortage of fireworks this year, so our fireworks committee is planning on purchasing them as soon as possible rather than waiting closer to the 4th.

If you plan on donating, we are asking that you please do so within the next few days so they can be purchased as soon as possible.

Let’s put on another great show for our families this year!

Contact Board President, Greg Becker at (573) 944-0435. Or if you see Greg Gettinger or John Pfaff, they are collecting donations too. Thank you!

July 4th is right around the corner and Lakes Genevieve is planning on another wonderful fireworks display this year!

Every year, we are only able to have our own private display because of the generous donations to the fireworks fund.

If you would like to contribute and help us create a another great show, please donate a few dollars to help.

Donations can be made to any board member or John Pfaff.

If you have any questions or need contact info for the people collecting donations, please call Board President, Greg Becker, at (573) 944-0435.

There will be a work party Saturday May 22, to do some mowing, w**d eating, cleaning up the beach area and working on the roads. This is all volunteer work and everyone who would like to help can meet at the maintenance shed at 8:00am. Also, there will be rock spread on the roads sometime during the next couple of weeks.

For volunteers, please remember that LGLOA is not responsible for accidents. This is voluntary work and we ask everyone to please work safely and responsibly. It is the volunteers that keep our lake community nice for our families, and we appreciate everyone who donates some time to help.

The spillway project has been completed! The work was done by Vern Bauman contracting out of Ste. Genevieve for a total cost of $6,888.00. Future projects being discussed are the mailboxes, the beach erosion problem on Beaver lake (maybe a emergency spillway there also), and the spillway on Mallard lake.

If you have any questions, please contact Board President Greg Becker at 573-944-0435.

Greg Becker would like to thank everyone who volunteered over the weekend to help with the tree trimming work party. Chris and Andrea Eckenfels organized the event, donated equipment, and arranged for food to be made for all the volunteers. Many others (too many to name) helped and donated equipment as well, so thank you to everyone. There was a total of 30 loads of limbs hauled to the burn pile!

Bauman’s Construction has also started work on the spillway and it should be completed by the end of next week.

A couple of announcements the Board President has asked me to share to this page:

Mallard and Beaver Lake water levels are being lowered to prepare for work on the spillway of Beaver Lake. In addition, a trapper is working to take care of the beaver population that has been growing.

Thank you!

The Board has requested that we remind everyone about the lot owners annual meeting, which will take place this Sunday, September 6th at 1:00pm. Meeting will be held at the pavilion by the beach/maintenance building.

The fireworks display will be held on Saturday, July 4th. Bring your chairs or blankets to enjoy another great show over Beaver Lake!

Our fireworks display is completely funded by the generous donations of you, our property owners. So thank you for all you do to make this a great event for our families! The more donations, the better the show!

If you would like to donate, please contact a Board Member or John Pfaff. Greg Becker, our Board President, can be reached at 573.944.0435.

See you on the 4th!

We have a great group of several property owners who graciously volunteer their time to keep our lake community nice for everyone to enjoy.

COVID-19 has been a challenging time for everyone and our volunteers are continuing to clean and sanitize the bathrooms and showers more than once each day.

With only a few volunteers, it’s a lot of work keeping up with this 7 days a week. Since weekends at the lake are much busier than the weekdays, the decision has been made to keep the bathrooms locked from Monday - Friday morning each week, then open them from Friday morning until Sunday night until further notice.

We are very thankful for the property owners who step up and help keep our environment clean!

Bathrooms will be open sometime tomorrow afternoon. Thanks!

Per LGPOA President, Greg Becker: Due to the COVID-19 virus, extra precautionary measures are needed to protect the health of our property owners. Until further notice, the Lakes Genevieve bathroom's will be closed. The water at the dump stations will be turned on in a week or so, and the front entrance signs are completed and will be installed soon. Thank you.
