Rooted in faith and driven by a people-first approach that values strong relationships and dependable service.

Our mission is to serve our customers and community with safe, efficient, and trustworthy electrical solutions. 24/7 Emergency Service. Abel Electric was founded in 2009 with one goal in mind, to bring the kingdom of heaven to earth through the construction industry. Our founders, Joshua & Pamla Vandusseldorp had always seen the bad reputation that the construction industry had, and they felt like with the help of Jesus and a few good guys, they could change that. Ever since that day all those years ago, Abel Electric and Abel Ministries both have seen tremendous growth. From wiring around 500 houses a year, to wiring schools, restaurants and shopping centers, Abel has seen men grow on the job, customers impacted, and lives changed. It is evident that when you do work with Abel Electric, you’re doing more than hiring an electrician, your helping grow the kingdom of God!!

Plugging your EV into a regular wall outlet works. It just takes forever. 🔌

Not every Generac install starts with level ground. This one was sitting on an incline, so Ryan and Trey had to build a solid platform for it to sit on.

That’s the kind of thing most people never think about, but it’s what makes an install last. A generator needs to sit level and stable to run right for years, and these two made sure it will.

Once the platform was set, they handled the rest: setting the unit, wiring in the transfer switch, and testing it all so it kicks on the second the power drops.

Great work, fellas. You took a tricky spot and made it look easy. 👊

You’ll never see this room when you stop for gas. But nothing at the pump works without it. ⛽

This is the electrical room our crew wired for a gas station job. Those control boxes down low run the pumps sitting inside the underground tanks. Those screens keep tabs on fuel levels in the tanks, and the box next to them ties into the payment side of things.

It's wild how much goes into simply pumping some gas. 🤔

Really not sure what was said when taking this picture, but apparently Ben thought it was hilarious. 😂

Our best guess is he was told to, "just act natural."

Long days on a job site go a lot faster with a crew like this one.

Not the flashiest room in the building, but it might be the most important one.

Our crew wrapped up wiring the panels in this electrical room, and every run is clean, labeled, and laid out so the next person who opens these doors knows exactly what they’re looking at.

This is the kind of work most people never see. But when the lights come on and everything just works, this is why. ⚡

Abel Electric handles commercial and industrial electrical work across Columbus GA, Phenix City, Auburn, Opelika, and Montgomery, from panel installs and electrical room buildouts to ongoing maintenance for facilities that can’t afford downtime.

This is what Abel is all about... Building relationships, bringing Jesus wherever we go, and going the extra mile. This crew checked off every box.

We had to shorten this review to fit the post, but stuff like this makes us emotional. The whole mission of Abel Electric was to bring the kingdom of heaven to earth. The bible tells us that we are the light of the world, and to let that light shine before others to ultimately glorify the Lord.

Thank you, Aaron for this review.
