DELIVERY DRIVER JOB DESCRIPTION
PRIER PIPE & SUPPLY
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
Sorts, processes and delivers materials, equipment or supplies to customer sites
Meets time schedule set by manager
Applies well developed interpersonal skills to exchange technical information
Maintains current knowledge of products
Operates fork lift, pallet jack and/or hand truck for heavy lifting
Follows safety procedures at all times and uses proper lifting techniques
Cross train to learn inventory
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work involves transporting materials in all types of weather and traffic conditions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift/move heavy boxes, materials, equipment weighing a minimum of 50 pounds. Learned physical skill required for proper and safe lifting techniques. Ability to operate pallet jack and hand truck.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent. Six months of experience making deliveries and sorting materials for filling orders. Ability to organize and schedule work to meet established timelines. Ability to work effectively with the public. Valid driver’s license.
