🐝 I was sitting in my truck waiting for the “plant shelter” to open (you know, for plant adoption purposes 😅), when this little bee landed right in my lap.

At that point, I felt a little judged. Like even the bee knew I didn’t need another greenhouse visit. 😂

We sat there for a minute, both patiently waiting for the doors to open and the flowers to be within reach. 🌸💛

I’d like to think he was there to encourage responsible plant purchasing, but let’s be honest… he probably knew I was leaving with more plants than I came for. 🪴🐝💕

Today was the last pickup of the peony subscription, and what a beautiful four weeks it has been.

Every week, my mom got a fresh bouquet from Fancy That Flower Farm, and seeing those blooms on her table made it worth every porch pick up.

Until next year, peony season. ✨💕

The flowers are planted… now comes the part that makes all the difference.

A beautiful container or flower bed only stays beautiful with consistent care, especially during those hot, dry stretches of summer. 💧

Spout & Sprout Co. is now offering seasonal watering and garden maintenance visits for homeowners who:
🪴 Travel during the summer
🌼 Need help keeping containers looking their best
🌿 Want regular deadheading, weeding, and plant check-ins
💧 Could use an extra set of hands during busy weeks

Whether it’s a porch full of planters, a cutting garden, or favorite flower beds, I’ll care for your plants like they’re my own.

Because planting is just the beginning—the magic happens in the maintenance.

Apparently planting the dahlias was the easy part… remembering which one is which come fall is a different story. 😅

So this year’s garden project included something new: a hand-drawn Dahlia Map. 📝

With names like Kelvin Floodlight, Sandia Summertime, Peach Delight, Cameo Peach, and Old Major tucked into the beds, I figured Future Me would appreciate a little help when it’s time to dig and divide tubers at the end of the season.

Will this map survive five months? Hopefully.

For now, everything is planted, labeled, and growing. Here’s hoping the blooms are as organized as the map. 🌱

This vintage galvanized bucket was a gift from my mom, so I gave it a new life with some propagated trailers, a few last-minute greenhouse finds I probably wouldn’t have tried otherwise, and a spot of honor on an old tree stump in the yard.

Turns out, a tree stump makes a pretty good plant stand.

A little propagation, a little treasure hunting, and a little creative repurposing—some of the best garden projects happen when you work with what you have and let the plants surprise you.
