Compensation:
Varies, based on experience/education (Compensation packages start at $62,000.00, including benefits).
Benefits:
Health Insurance (including vision and dental) and 401k Plan with a 4% match after 3 months of employment. Mileage reimbursements up to $0.50 per mile, $60/month for phone plan, company computer and phone provided.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school degree or GED recommended. Three or more years of carpentry, hands-on construction work, and/or site-supervisory experience required. A personal and reliable vehicle is required for transportation throughout each working day (a truck is preferred).
Preferred skills:
General construction knowledge, ability to read blueprints, and problem-solving abilities are a must. Supervisory experience preferred, but not required. Must be able to read and respond to emails in a professional and timely manner. Proficiency with spreadsheets and technology is preferred.
We are a hardworking but fun team of five, looking to add a few more members to take on the variety of residential and commercial construction projects we have planned for 2023. Everyone on our DHC team is comfortable wearing multiple hats and stepping into a variety of roles, but we need to start filling more full time positions.
The right person for this position is organized and works well on a team. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are required for this role, as well as the ability to be held accountable and to hold others accountable. We need a strong leader, who can direct subcontractors, and occasionally work with clients, when necessary. We are looking for a positive attitude, from a self-driven individual. The ability to adapt to ever-changing scenarios and to problem solve are a must. They should be eager to learn and not afraid of occasional hands-on work.
Job Description:
-Work with the Project Manager to supervise all projects from inquiry through Certificate of Occupancy.
-Manage project progress and adapt work as required, notifying subcontractors and the PM.
-Direct, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors on the job site and act as the main point of contact for subcontractors.
-Ensure proper plans, binders, materials, and subcontractors are on the jobsite.
-Work through site details with the architect, engineers, project manager and subcontractors.
-Keep the master schedule up to date and inform subcontractors and PM of any changes.
-Schedule inspections, meet with inspectors, and resolve issues to pass inspections.
-Ensure proper documentation is on the jobsite at all times and being used by subcontractors.
-70% of time in the field, 30% in the office.
