Once in a while, the Rowan Master Gardeners get in a ‘Fun Day’ ~ a day of crafting just for us! And this year’s fun was creating Aluminum Can Flowers under the guidance of the ever-creative Master Gardeners Carol Comer! 🌺

We actually had TWO days of can-snipping, painting, and attaching layer after layer of aluminum cans to create these beautiful blooms! 🌼

And if you’ve been to the new Cooperative Extension Office ~ you may have noticed a large indoor plant bed right outside or doors ~ with nothing in it but mulch (it gets little natural light and has zero drainage)! So ~ the solution? We ‘planted’ our new tin-can blooms there to be enjoyed by all! 🌸

The Rowan Master Gardener Volunteers were planting the Living Circle Garden on the first day of early voting at the Rowan Community Center!
