With key partners Archsol, LLC, DHE Engineering, Buehler Engineering, Cannon & Wendt Electric Co., Inc., W.D. Manor Mechanical and AROK Inc. Phoenix Contractors, our team delivered a state-of-the-art operating room purpose-built for spinal procedures at the HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center. Together, we used numerous precautions to prevent disruptions to ongoing patient care nearby. The upgraded space supports HonorHealth's spinal surgeons in their work to restore quality of life to patients.

This is Jacobsen's third partnership with HonorHealth to earn industry recognition from ENR Southwest, with similar renovations also winning awards in 2024 and 2025.

Itโ€™s a great day to be an Aggie!

This evening, the ribbon was cut on the Thomas and Patricia Willis Veterinary Medical Education Building at Utah State University.

โ€œThe veterinarians who walk out of this building will go into communities in Utah and the broader region and make a difference,โ€ said Brad Mortenson, university president. โ€œThat is why today is about so much more than opening a building. This is Utah State University ascending to its full potential.โ€

The new facility, built by Jacobsen and designed by VCBO Architecture and BDA, is now welcoming students into the first ever four-year veterinary program in Utah.

We love to learn from the best! Jacobsen's Q3 operations training brought in experts in fire safety, fall protection, scaffolding safety, rigging and structural concrete engineering.

Jacobsen was also presented with a WCF Insurance Safety Grant to purchase additional self-retracting lifelines. These devices use automatically locking cables to reduce fall distances โ€” an important innovation in jobsite safety.

The future of healthcare is here!

Today, The University of Utah cut the ribbon on the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, marking a leap forward for medical training on campus. Its high-tech labs, collaborative spaces and simulation centers will serve generations of students, driving far-reaching patient care breakthroughs.

Utah Gov. Spencer J. Cox spoke, calling the facility โ€œa dream come true.โ€

โ€œThe most important thing about this building is what will come out of it: more doctors and health care professionals, more discoveries โ€ฆ better treatments, better care for Utah families,โ€ he said.

Jacobsen was proud to partner with the university to build this world-leading education, training and research facility.

Great projects are built by great partnerships.

Our project team at the USU College of Veterinary Medicine has received a Partnership Award from USU Facilities!

The new school includes surgical spaces, exam rooms, research labs, classrooms, a tiered lecture hall, an outdoor animal enrichment area and more. Built in collaboration with VCBO Architecture and BDA Architecture: Building Design for Animals, it accommodates about 100 veterinary students at a time.

Jacobsen is helping Intermountain Health expand the number of world-class healthcare services available in Park City. ๐Ÿฅ

In partnership with VCBO Architecture, we are enlarging the existing Intermountain Health Park City Hospital and adding an all-new Cancer Center to the facility. The scope of work includes a two-story expansion near the existing emergency department entrance, the construction of a new linear accelerator vault, the build-out of existing shelled space to house a medical oncology clinic and infusion area, and more.

History was made in Utah today!

After 164 years in Salt Lake City, Fort Douglas has relocated to a modernized campus at Camp Williams in Bluffdale. A closing ceremony at the historic Fort Douglas at The University of Utah was followed by a ribbon cutting at its new location, which is now America's largest Army Reserve facility.

โ€œThis facility is a symbol of what we can accomplish together when we invest in our people and build strong partnerships,โ€ said Maj. Gen. Kevin F. Meisler, commanding general of the 88th Readiness Division.

Jacobsen was honored to give this proud military installation a new home, built to support the devoted men and women of the U.S. Army Reserve.
