Let's talk about what actually makes a living room work.

It's not the sofa and it's not even the fireplace, though this one is pretty hard to ignore. It's the way the whole room breathes. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass on both sides, a courtyard on the left, lush greenery on the right - this space doesn't feel closed off for a single second.

We kept the palette simple on purpose. Cream bouclé seating, light oak floors, a chunky natural wood coffee table. Nothing fights for attention. The white plaster fireplace wall does its job as the anchor, and the TV sitting above it blends right in when it's not in use, which is a detail more people should think about when they're planning a living room layout.

The built-in to the right is one of those things that looks effortless but takes real planning. Custom oak shelving, lower cabinets with a stone countertop, black pulls to keep it grounded. It's functional, it holds personality: books, frames, a little chaos, and it doesn't look like a showroom.

That's the balance we're always chasing. Polished enough to photograph well. Lived-in enough to actually feel like home.

This one was a favorite.

There's something about a deep navy vanity that just works: grounded, a little moody, but still fresh. Pair it with warm gold hardware and a clean white quartz top, and you've got a space that feels confident without trying too hard.

The room itself is pretty compact, but the layout doesn't fight you. Eight drawers of real storage, a gold-framed mirror to warm things up, and clear glass vanity lights that keep the top half from feeling heavy.

A good vanity should feel like a piece of furniture, not a box with a sink stuck in it. That's the difference.

This was one of a few bathrooms we tackled in the same home, but this one quietly stole the show.

Small bathrooms? They're honestly the trickiest ones to get right.

When you've only got a few square feet to work with, every choice matters: tile layout, where the fixtures sit, how deep the vanity is, even where the lights land. There's no hiding mistakes in a space this size.

For this remodel, the goal was simple: keep it feeling open and clean, but add enough warmth so it doesn't feel sterile. Soft neutral tile, matte black fixtures, and a gray shaker vanity gave us that modern look without the chill. Recessed lighting and a large-format tub surround helped stretch the space visually and tie everything together wall to wall.

And those little framed friends on the wall? Not ours, that was the homeowner's touch. But honestly, it's a perfect reminder that a well-designed bathroom should leave room for personality. The bones are ours. The character is theirs. That's how it should be.

A solid kitchen remodel doesn't start with cabinets. It starts behind the drywall. Swipe to see what this turned into.

We started with the heavy lifting: targeted demolition, new framing for the updated layout, and essential plumbing and electrical rough-ins. You have to get the wiring and pipes right before you can even think about the finish work.

Once the core systems were dialed in, we moved to the installation phase:
• Natural light oak shaker cabinets
• Quartz countertops with a full-height backsplash
• Reconfigured floor plan to fit a large functional island and built-in double ovens
• Wide-plank wood flooring across the main level

It is a comprehensive remodel executed properly from the studs to the finish line.
