Check out these before and afters of our most recent job in Midland, TX. This customer had a concrete walkway with a failing cap, to fix that we proceeded to grind the walkway twice to completely remove the top cap.

Soon after we hand troweled on a grout/primer coat due to the porosity of the concrete. This helps with the epoxy basecoat keep its thickness and not soak completely through the slab. We also grinded the front patio as well to epoxy both the patio and front walkway.

This customer opted for “Shoreline” flake blend, material used for this job was.

✅100% solids tan epoxy basecoat

✅1/4 Shoreline flake blend

✅ 95% solids UV stable polyaspartic topcoat☀️

✅ aluminum oxide in topcoat to reduce hazardous slips and falls⚠️

Before pictures of our most recent floor that we completed in Midland TX. This 1,069 sqft garage had many pits/spalls that needed to be fixed before applying out epoxy flake system.

To do that we proceeded to 30 grit diamond grind per usual.
We then acetone mopped and vacuumed the whole floor.
After we made sure to get the pits/spalls as clean as possible we then troweled on a fast setting grout filler coat.
Once the fast set coat cured we then proceeded to do a 2nd diamond grind to level out the pitting as much as possible.

Before pictures of a job we recently completed here in San Angelo!

This 472 square foot garage had existing carpet that needed to be pulled. After we removed the carpet, we were left with excessive carpet glue which can take a lot longer to remove compared to if it wasn’t there.

Resulting in a longer turn around time, however the end result is definitely worth the wait. Check out the next post for more!

Time to spruce up your patios for the summer!

A recent floor that we just completed, this customer opted for a grind and seal option instead of an epoxy flake system, for their 1,000 sqft shop. This floor was completed by

•Diamond grinded the entire floor and edges

•Vacuuming thoroughly in a cross hatch pattern

•Denatured alcohol wipe followed with a dry wipe to remove any left over dust from the vacuum

•2 layers of Sherwin Williams Rexthane

This is going to help with giving the floor a nice look while resisting chemical/oil stains. This product is also impact resistant, meaning it’s durable against any chipping from medium-heavy objects in the work area.

After we diamond grinded, vacuumed, and crack filled the floor. We couldn’t just lay down the base coat immediately or there would be a chance of it soaking through the slab unevenly or completely. Making the end result not as nice.

So we installed a primer/grout coat before our base coat, this is a thin coat that goes directly on the slab. And is applied by troweling, so that way you force the primer coat into the pores of the concrete.

This greatly limits the chance of your basecoat soaking straight through the slab unevenly. And also helps the basecoat have a stronger bond to the slab. Making the flake system all that much stronger!
