Knotty By Nature Tree Care

Knotty By Nature Tree Care KNOTTY BY NATURE TREE CARE is here as a steward to our environment, providing all aspects of tree care, as nature intends it!

We provide a host of tree care services, including; planting, landscape design and consulting specializing in tree selection, fertilization, pruning(including ball moss, and mistletoe removal) cabling and bracing, preservation & troubleshooting, high risk & 24 hour removal, insurance claims, risk and hazard assessment, and more, cat rescue included! Here are some of the characteristics that set us

apart from other tree services;

We work our very hardest, to make every last bit of pruning, and cleaning work we provide, gives the appearance that we were never there in the first place, and the location has always maintained a natural, well kept look. We use the most fuel efficient tools, as well as are using a new chain lubricant that is plant and not petroleum based, so it's safer around children, ponds, pets and plants! We DO NOT "top" trees, but CAN instead selectively clear out portions of the tree's canopy, to reduce its size, while maintaining its overall health. We DO NOT make unhealthy flush or "stumpy" cuts, or take off limbs unnecessarily, being that these practices can harm your tree, in a variety of ways. We CAN remove unsightly ball-moss, broken limbs, sucker branches, etc. and can respond as quickly as needed, keeping you from waiting weeks or months, just to get the job done right. We DO sanitize our tools, before & after working with any tree, as to minimize the risk of spreading pathogens, from place to place! We DO paint every cut made on Oak trees, to prevent the spread of Oak Wilt! A list of reference's can be provided for those most concerned about the quality and level of detail provided. Our customers will happily attest to our friendly, knowledgeable and timely service! Give us a call, or just shoot us an email. Free estimates are given for SA residents, inside 1604.

Halberd-leaf rosemallow (Hibiscus laevis) is a lovely wetland plant native to a wide swath of eastern North America. Its large, tropical-looking flowers can range in color from pink to white, but will usually have a purplish-red center. Such variability has seen it used quite heavily in horticulture breeding programs. Scarlet rose mallow is an important host plant for the caterpillars of many different species of moth and butterfly, as well as a few different types of saw fly and leaf miners. Bees are the main pollinators, including the rose-mallow bee (Ptilothrix bombiformis), which is a solitary species that specializes on hibiscus flowers. Hummingbirds will also visit its large blooms. All in all, this is one special wetland plant!
