Poor site prep can cost you a lot on a project.

It may show up as:
➡️ Rework
➡️ Drainage fixes
➡️ Project delays
➡️ Extra haul-off costs
➡️ Timeline issues

The right approach at the beginning of your project helps protect the budget, the timeline, and the project as a whole.

“I really love being the first man on the job. We get the blank slate before anyone else has touched it. We truly get to tame the terrain all around us and transform it into something that serves our clients well. That may be a house, a roadway, or even a wine cellar. (That last one is really a job we did!)

I’ve always had jobs and positions where I’ve been on the ground floor of making something out of the raw materials that are already there. There’s something incredible about taking what you have and casting the vision for all that it could be.” — Trey McCarty

When obstacles aren’t handled correctly the first time, projects lose time, money, and efficiency trying to fix problems later.

The right approach early keeps everything moving forward.

A strong road does more than connect point A to point B.

It creates access, improves usability, and lays the groundwork for everything that comes next.

Whether it’s a ranch road, private drive, or access route through rough terrain, the right approach makes all the difference.

FAQ Friday 👇

When handled correctly, yes.

Proper grading and site preparation play a major role in how water moves across a property.

Milling allows material to be processed and shaped efficiently, helping create more stable surfaces and better site flow.

Good drainage planning early can prevent major problems later.
