Yes, that fire pump is mobile. 🔥💧
What you’re seeing is our team performing a standpipe flow test at an apartment complex in Austin using AFP’s Emergency Mobile Fire Pump.
Normally, a fire truck would need to be brought in to provide the pumping capacity needed for this type of testing. Instead, our team was able to bring in a resource we already have in-house.
That’s one of the advantages of AFP’s Emergency Mobile Fire Pump.
The unit gives our teams another option when additional water pressure and flow are needed for certain testing operations. It can also serve as a temporary pumping solution in situations where a facility’s permanent fire pump is unavailable due to maintenance, repairs, replacement, or unexpected downtime.
Having this capability in-house means we don’t always have to rely on coordinating and renting outside equipment when the need arises.
For our customers, that can mean greater flexibility and another resource available when their fire protection system needs it.
Most people will probably never see a piece of equipment like this working behind the scenes.
