AutoCAD Civil 3D Technician – Land Surveying & Mapping

POSITION OVERVIEW
The AutoCAD Civil 3D Technician will support survey and mapping operations by preparing survey drawings, plats, topographic maps, construction layouts, and related deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, dependable, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple deadlines in a production-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare and draft survey drawings, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and construction staking layouts
2. Process and organize field survey data
3. Create and maintain accurate CAD files and project documentation
4. Work closely with survey crews, project managers, and clients to ensure project accuracy and efficiency
5. Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality control
6. Assist with revisions, calculations, and mapping deliverables as needed
7. Maintain company drafting standards and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required
2. Experience in land surveying, mapping, or civil drafting preferred
3. Strong understanding of survey terminology, boundary mapping, and construction plans
4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
5. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
6. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
7. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
8. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
