Homeowner had no idea why 1 phase on his 100 amp feed was tripping. I did an insulation resistance test with megohmmeter and 1 phase indeed failed. After pulling the wire out I found this nice splice about 12’ in.

Some work on a customers home. Thanks for giving me a hand and crawling in the attic. 💪

Almost all lighting was redone in this home along with installing new ceiling fans.

Description of work:
✅New can lights in living room controlled by a dimmer switch.
✅New can lights in master bedroom controlled by a dimmer switch.
✅Install retrofit can lights in all kitchen cans and hallway cans.
✅Swap fans in master bedroom and living room.
✅Install fans in guest bedrooms controlled by a fan/light combo slider switch.
✅Re-locate dining room light box and install new dining room light.
✅Swap front entrance chandelier.

I did a job a handful of weeks ago getting conduits and wire out to a new automatic gate.

Few days ago I get a call saying they made last minute plans, changed the whole gate and how it opens, etc. now the operator sits on the opposite side of the driveway. Owner asked how do we get across?
I partnered up with Rick over at because I knew he could get this done in a timely manner.
Rick got this saw cut, broken up, trenched out, raceways in and patched in no time.

I didn’t want my previous work to be a total loss so we moved that conduit to the very corner fence post in preparation for a light. We utilized the other raceway in the dirt to shoot across driveway for operator and pulled new wire from home panel to new junction box. (With the help of )

Still have some finishing touches to do such as come back to pull from my junction box into new gate operator and attach my box on corner fence post when they rip out the old one and install the new one.

Customer is very pleased!

A lot of people may never see the inside of their panel and could care less how the wires were routed. We over here at Lue
Electric make sure it’s nice and organized. Routing wires in an organized and clean way makes trouble calls a lot better for us or the next guy.👍⚡️⚡️

What happens when you go with the “cheapest price” I see this way too often. I know cheap guys can do good work but they are also the first to do things like this when they don’t have enough material to complete task. I know this is heavily taped up but still not a proper “splicing” solution. Electrical is arguably the biggest hazard to a home as it is. Don’t let something like this be the reason your house burns down. #

Me and knocked out this fun job today!

1. Install outlet for EV charger protected by a new 40A breaker.

2. Run EMT over to laundry room for new dryer outlet (old one was gas) protected by new 30A breaker

3. Remove existing RV outlet (from previous home owner)
