For 28 years, Ergo Architecture has partnered with the City of San Diego’s Storefront Improvement Program to help small businesses become more visible, welcoming, and connected to their neighborhoods.

We’ve worked with more than 160 owners to reimagine their storefronts with clear design direction, budget sensitivity, and a full-color rendering – at no cost to the business owner. A few recent favorites:

Ergo Architecture is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Lavy to our staff! After surviving 25 Moscow winters, she moved to San Diego and is enjoying surfing, snowboarding, and a sprint triathlon all at once. Dog-and-hummingbird enthusiast, she dreams of exploring the Amazon rainforest.

Ergo Architecture is pleased to welcome Gabriel Silva to our staff! He was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is a third year student at the University of Cincinnati. Outside of the office, he enjoys to travel and spend time with his friends and family!

Ergo Architecture is pleased to welcome Fabiana Barra to our staff! Born and raised in Arequipa, Peru. Currently a 3rd year student at the University of Cincinnati. She chose to move to San Diego for her deep love for the city. A food and books enthusiast, in her own time she likes to work out and meet new people. She is excited about this new opportunity with Ergo Architecture!

A micro-studio can feel spacious when it has high ceilings, plenty of daylight, clean finishes, and attached outdoor space. This is the smallest of 37 apartments in our latest urban-infill project to add much-needed housing to San Diego.

Want to do something about the San Diego housing crisis? We do too. Our latest projects are multifamily urban infill with affordable housing components. These take advantage of the City of San Diego's innovative Complete Communities initiative to quickly provide much-needed housing. These early renderings are from our latest project in Hillcrest, which creates 37 light-filled, airy units in an area designed for maximum walkability.

Ergo Architecture is pleased to welcome Suchada Eickemeyer to our staff! A military veteran and spouse, she pivoted to design as a second career after landing back in California after several years away overseas, in the desert, and in the Northeast. A car enthusiast, snowboarder, mountain biker, runner, and soccer mom, you will find her outside enjoying the sunshine when she's not in the office.
