There is a particular momentum that arrives when walls replace framing and subflooring begins to conceal its own geometry — the project stops being a promise and starts being a place. That shift never gets old.

A fond farewell and heartfelt best wishes to Superintendent Kyle Gadbury and his family as they begin an exciting new chapter in the Pacific Northwest!

Kyle came to us in the most fitting way — spotted mid-renovation at our beloved neighbors , where his talent and professionalism were impossible to miss.
From the moment Beth and Parker Piner crossed paths with him, it was clear Kyle brought something exceptional to the table, a reputation he only continued to build throughout his time with us.

Kyle quickly became a natural part of the West Coast GBC team. Complex challenges didn’t intimidate him, they inspired him, and that passion showed in everything he built.
His commitment to craftsmanship, ingenuity, and down-to-earth nature made him not only reliable and respected, but someone we truly valued having by our side.

While we’ll miss him greatly, we fully support this next step as he, his wife Heather, their twins, and their two cats prioritize family and new adventures. From travel and cultural experiences to lifelong tinkering and building, we know Kyle will continue to do what he loves wherever he goes.

Thank you for the memories, the craftsmanship, and the laughs, Kyle. The West Coast will feel your absence, but the PNW is lucky to have the whole Gadbury family.

As this multi-year project nears completion, what has composed here is extraordinary.

The way light moves through the space was never left to chance — it was studied, shaped, and honored. And as the sun withdraws, our electricians carry that intention seamlessly into the evening with a precision so refined it disappears into the walls.

Not more light. The exact right light.

Under construction at the midcentury residence designed by master architect Russell Forester, a key figure in Southern California modernism whose work emphasized structural clarity and a disciplined relationship between architectural form and landscape.

This home’s distinctive accordion-style roof—often misattributed to contemporaries such as Frederick Liebhardt—is in fact a defining element of Forester’s architectural language, using rhythm and pitch to shape both interior volume and exterior expression.
