It’s always the little things. 👀

The sconce height. The mirror proportions. Where the towels land. How the tile meets the stone. Whether you actually have somewhere to put all the things you swear you use every morning. 😉

None of these things are particularly glamorous on their own, but together? That’s the stuff that makes a bathroom feel custom.

Turns out, we have a lot of opinions about where your towel hook goes. And we stand by every one of them. 😂

Only an interior designer could walk onto a site like this and get this excited. 😂

The floors covered in construction dust? Going to be gorgeous. The stairs without a single tread? Love them already. Peeking behind a tarp to see the newly laid tile? Basically our favorite pastime.

There’s something so fun about this stage of a project, when all the things we’ve been looking at on plans and samples for months finally start showing up in real life. And yes, we will happily climb over a few ladders to inspect them. 👀

Can’t waitttt to show you more of this one because she’s going to be a stunner. Just you wait.

Pup approved. Which, as we all know, is the final sign-off that matters around here. 🐾

This bathroom has a few things we’ll never get tired of: a really good stone, mixed metals, a little pattern, and an arched shower entrance that deserved its own moment. And because apparently one tile wasn’t enough, we used three. 😉

The backsplash and pendants get all the glory. Meanwhile, we’re over here worrying about whether your dishwasher and trash drawer can be open at the same time. 😂

There are a lot of decidedly unsexy things that go into a beautiful kitchen. Outlets, appliance clearances, walkways, countertop seams, and figuring out where on earth you’re going to put that giant stockpot.

Not exactly the stuff you put on the mood board, but weirdly... some of our favorite things to figure out. 🤓

Busy busy bees around here lately. 🐝 Between site visits, new projects, presentations, and all the usual behind-the-scenes chaos, we’ve been spending a lot of time everywhere but the office.

Luckily, this is a pretty nice place to come back to. Calm, cozy, and most importantly, approximately 12 steps from an alarming amount of snacks… Priorities 😂

Big fan of the little details. The teenier the decision, the more likely I am to have an opinion about it. 😂

Shower head height? Yes. Tile size? Absolutely. Where exactly that niche should start and stop? Give me a minute, I have thoughts.

This does, however, mean that after making approximately 847 decisions in a day, please do not ask me what I want for dinner. I simply have nothing left to give.

Occupational hazard, I suppose. But I’ll happily save my decision-making energy for the details that make a room come together. Dinner can be someone else’s problem 😉

I’m a firm believer that the office is one of those places where you really don’t need to play it safe. If you’re going to spend 8 hours a day staring at a computer screen, the room around it might as well be fun to look at.

Give me color. Give me pattern. Give me a comfy chair for the moments when the desk and I need a little time apart. 😂

And speaking of offices... I think it might finally be time for an official tour of ours. What do you guys think?

Five inches doesn’t sound like much... until your dishwasher is open and no one can get around it. 😂

We spend a lot of time thinking about the space between things. The island and the cabinets. The sofa and the coffee table. The dining table and the wall. Because “it fits” and “it actually works” are two very different things.

And yes, sometimes we really are talking about five inches. Sometimes it’s two. We’ve been known to have strong opinions about one. 👀

A little life update from BDG because things have been BUSY around here. 😅

We have new projects kicking off, site visits on site visits, and I’m pretty sure I’ve spent more hours in my car than at my desk lately. Which has me wondering how I ever did all of this with kids at home?! Moms, you are superheroes. Truly.

We also have a few project shoots coming up soon, which means lots of new work to share around here. I can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been up to. 🤍

For now, enjoy this little bathroom moment while I head to… you guessed it… another site visit. 😂
