We know we’ve said this before, but we’re saying it again. Your home does not need to be fully childproof to work for your family.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We hear it all the time. “We can’t have the white sofa because we have kids.” And while that instinct makes sense, it often leads to sacrificing things you truly love in your home.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The reality is, a space can be both family friendly and beautifully designed when the decisions are intentional.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In this living room, our clients had two young girls but did not want their design to revolve solely around that stage of life. So we created solutions that support their family without compromising the overall aesthetic. Closed storage below to keep everyday items tucked away, open shelving above for styling, performance fabrics that can handle daily use, and surfaces that are durable and easy to maintain.

Designing for your family does not mean designing around limitations. It means making thoughtful choices that allow your home to reflect you while still supporting how you live today and how your life will evolve over time.
