Receptos opened up their new research facility in Torrey Pines. Southwest Millworks, Inc. fabricated millwork and fixtures using a variety of wood veneers including plain sliced walnut, sandblasted brindle oak and reconstituted wenge. Countertops and worksurfaces of Corian, precast concrete and Quartz provided attractive accents to the custom elements. Project also features wood-clad floating ceiling panels and a custom reception desk with Kinon® hand-cast resin panels.

Kiewit Building Group has just awarded Southwest Millworks Inc. a contract to provide cabinets and millwork for the new Easton Archery Center located at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista.

The Easton Olympic Archery Facility will be an official United States Olympic Archery Center for training, competition, research, and continuing development of the sport.

The project is intended to meet the highest possible standards of LEED Certification, sustainability, and energy efficient design.

The project will be located at the upper, northern portion of the center, directly below the existing main entrance and visitor center. Three major project components are proposed: a two story, 43,800 square foot Archery Center Building, which will include viewing, conference, office and administration space, training and research rooms, lockers, restrooms, and storage space, and an indoor Archery Range; adjacent to this building will be two outdoor 90 meter Archery Ranges, on existing turf sports fields; on an adjacent site to the East, overlooking the main archery range is proposed the Housing Complex. This will include 25,300 square feet, 60 bedrooms and private baths, and a 4,100 square foot one story multipurpose building, providing common facilities, and a two-bedroom Manager’s Apartment.

San Diego Harley-Davidson opened up their new flagship location at 4645 Morena Boulevard, next to Costco. Workiing directly with San Diego Harley-Davidson, Southwest Millworks, Inc. designed, fabricated and installed custom sales counters, display cabinets and service counters. This is a one-of-a-kind motorcycle dealership and Southwest Millworks is proud to have been a part of the team that created this amazing retail space.

Southwest Millworks recently completed tenant improvement work for an undisclosed client in the Carlsbad Research Center. General Contractor was DPR Construction. Project features extensive walnut wood veneer paneling, custom casework and quartz countertops.
